Have you always wanted your very own King Koopa?! Then look no further! My name is Bowser and I'm looking for my furever home. How can you not love my adorable under bite?! My foster mom says that I'm super smart. I am house trained and know the commands "sit" and "lay." I do well on car rides and LOVE to play fetch....it's pretty much my favorite past time. When my foster mom takes me on walks, I try to remind her of "stranger danger" by growling. I am not aggressive toward strangers, but do vocalize my distrust. Once I warm up to new people and I'm allowed to be pet, I am great with people. I would love a fenced in yard, but it is not required. It would be a safe zone for me to get my energy out without having to walk by more "stranger danger." My ideal home would be with a family with no cats or small children (I like to jump up with playing and I might knock them down accidentally) and someone who would be willing to work with me! I need my new family to work with me on proper introductions to new people. My doctor says I'm heart worm positive, but I'm currently going through treatment to make me feel better. Because of this treatment, I have to stay calm for 30 days. I know we're going to have a lot of fun, but what I most look forward to is all the LOVE I'm going to feel!

Our Adoption Process...

Found an animal on our site and want to meet them or find out more about them? Fill out the adoption questionnaire located below and submit to us. Once we have reviewed/approved your application, we will provide you with the foster contact information so that you can find out more and arrange a “meet and greet”. All of our animals are located in foster homes throughout the Triangle area.

When going to a “meet and greet”, please make sure you take any family members and other pets (if at all possible) to observe their interactions. This can make introduction into the new home easier for the animals and for you.

The animal’s foster parent will ultimately make a recommendation to the organization regarding the permanent placement of the animal. Once an adoption decision has been made by both parties, we ask for an adoption fee to help us cover spay/neutering, shots, medical treatment, food and supplies – this amount only partially cover the cost of expenses and allows us to help as many animals as possible!

What if the adoption doesn’t work out? We have a lifetime return policy on our animals as we don’t want to see them turned back into a shelter.
