My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Pooh and like my namesake: very lovable and cuddly. I am 6 years old and love to play with my foster beagle brother. I enjoy running outside in my foster family's yard and as a beagle I love to sniff the yard over and over to see what has invaded my space. I am pretty good with going outside to potty but need to be watched as sometimes I get confused with which door to go out and I have accidents. However I am getting much better with this. I don't have accidents while in my crate though. I like playing with toys and have a few that will come with me as well as my blankie.
I am learning my manners and will sit and take treats but I get excited and will jump up to get them so I need to work on that. I am learning to walk on a leash but currently I prefer to go my way not your way so I need someone who can help me walk on a leash. I love to sniff everywhere as any beagle would. Some say I might have some basset hound in me but my foster mom just says I am handsome. I am a happy-go-lucky guy but a bit timid around people until I get to know them. My foster family has cats and I get along with them… well at least I don't chase them. Sometimes if I am afraid I tend to pancake which is walk very low to the floor but once I get used to the routine and people around me I am fine.
I like to be brushed and petted. I am crate trained and love to spend my night in the crate as well as some naps during the day. I will happily nap in my crate if my foster family has to run errands. I am good in pet stores, love to ride in cars and do not get car sick. I can be territorial so sometimes I have small disagreements with my foster brothers. I love playing with kids however I can get excited and jump up and knock small ones down. So a family with older kids would be good fit for me.
