Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Petey. Anyone who knows the Our Gang kids knows how loyal and great Petey was to them.
Well our Petey is no different. Handsome, loyal, fun, smart and loving to people, children and other dogs.
Petey came to us from a bit of a sad situation. The family who surrendered Petey to us had 3 little children. If you asked the parents, they would say they actually had 4 children if you counted Petey. But one of the little ones developed allergies to dogs. As hard as the family tried they had to make that heart breaking decision and find Petey a safe and loving home. We are very glad they picked our rescue.
Petey got to meet a very special lady named Belle his first day in foster care. Belle is a Red Tick Coonhound that loves to just let it out when she is happy. And from the baying she did when she met Petey we would say she was pretty darn happy to have a playmate.
Petey then went to his foster home and meet 2 black labs, Madison and Shadow.
The labs, gentle with all the fosters that come into the rescue, showed Petey around the yard with no problems.
Petey LOVES music whether it's cool jazz, Peanuts theme music or anything relaxing. He can snuggle with the best of them. Petey LOVES to play fetch with his tennis ball-whether someone is throwing it for him or he is just tossing around by himself. Another LOVE of Petey's is walking.
Petey is currently learning some basic lessons from the foster mom and coming along very nicely. And as you can see from one of his photos, he is a Davey Crockett fan too.
Petey is a 5 year old Beagle mix, 43 pounds, UTD on vaccinations, housebroken, neutered and micro chipped.
