Hello Everyone,
My name is Cuddly Charley and I’m a six year old sweetheart weighing ten pounds soaking wet. I’m an adorable guy who is a cuddler and a lover, great with other dogs, cats (and even birds) and simply wonderful with people. My foster mom says I’m very sweet boy, playful and adventurous (you can ask Mom about that), sometimes a little shy -- and there is no doubt that I am VERY smart!
Dad says I like to be wherever he or Mom is. If I can be in someone’s lap… well that is where I shine!!! Dad calls me Super Glue, because I bond to people in seconds. There is no doubt that I’m the world’s greatest lap dog – well that is until you get ready for a walk. I love my walks! I’m happy to trot along and see the world. I’m also a great rider (in the car, that is!).
I’m known to be a bit of an escape artist, as I like to find ways to get out of the yard so I can explore the world. A secure fence is a must have for this tiny little pup. I tell Mom that exploring is understandable because I love the outdoors! She calls me Curious George. (I tell her my name is Charley) and she says I need to only explore when I’m on a leash. (I’m trying, really trying!)
Mom says I do everything well but there is one thing I do exceptionally well: I am the perfect companion! There is no doubt that I’m always ready for kisses and cuddles and would be happy sitting in your lap all day or going to work with you.
While I enjoy the company of other dogs, I’m pretty quiet and not a barker. When you get home, however, I get excited and will run around in circles. Dad says I’m always wagging my tail to show that I’m happy - plus I’m loyal and friendly! I’m grateful to have a foster family who loves and appreciates me and I show them that I love and appreciate them too.
There is one other thing you need to know about me that makes me special. I have to eat this special food and can only have one kind of treat. I really like my food though so that’s fine with me. It keeps me healthy and that’s what matters most.
