Little Buddy, 6 lb, one eye's Story...
Three small dogs were found in a drug raid by our local police. All the dogs were maybe five lbs., and full of fleas, worms, near bones, and Little Buddy's eye was pus filled. We took them to our vet; everything wrong was fixable except for this baby's eye. He could have died from the infection if we did not immediately have it removed. There was no time, or choice. And we had one day to raise near $1200. Within four hours we had almost all needed, and I remember I just sat and cried. These dogs had been thru hell, and now would be smiling every moment ahead. So proud of this boy, he was the best patient, and happy. He felt better right away after the surgery; but took months on antibiotics to get the infection out of his whole tiny body. . He was the one the most scared of him, his sister and little son seemed a bit more durable, but not much..... the female immediately got adopted but we kept the son and him as they needed time to just put all the horror behind them; and now they are ready to be adopted. Peanut Butter weighs maybe five lbs., even though he can eat like a horse, and loves loves loves Peanut Butter which is how he got his name. They are just adorable. We do want to keep them together, think it would not be right to adopt them apart.
Please call our Doggie Hotline: 909-208-6889 to make an appointment to see them. They are fixed, microchipped, have all their shots, and healthy as can be now.
