Muse's Story...
Claussen and Muse are not at the shelter. They are currently in foster care.

Claussen and Muse came to ADOPT in 2016 when their family could no longer keep them. They were born around 2011, and Claussen is a 2-paw declaw. Though they're not lap cats, these sweet kitties love to cuddle and snuggle up close to their people. They can be shy and are prone to hiding when someone they don't know comes for a visit, but are extremely outgoing and loveable in the presence of someone they know and trust. They love their string toys and being petted, and are slowly becoming a bit more brave and adventurous in their foster home. Claussen and Muse would love a quieter home to call their own. Because they're best buds who came from the same litter and take great comfort in the company of each other, Claussen and Muse need to be adopted as a pair.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muse, a Naperville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
