Madelynn is looking for her fur-ever home - are you the special person to give her a happy home?
Once she gets to know you, she behaves very lady-like: gentle and sweet. She is house-broken and has already learned to come, sit and lie down. She walks well on a leash, although she seems equally happy to curl up with you on the couch. We're working on, and quickly improving, crate-manners. She's approximately a year old; she is fully vetted, hw negative, spayed and chipped. Madelynn gets along with other dogs, but can also be overwhelmed at times by kids or rowdy pups, and require quiet time. Since she was picked up with her three pups in February, she has been (re)introduced to human kindness AND peanut butter, and has worked her weight up to about 35 pounds!!!  Madelynn's perfect world would hold just two: herself and one human to spend the day with 24/7 and to share her peanut butter. To date, her foster mom has NOT found Madelynn's limit on cuddling, affection...or treats, for that matter! Have I mentioned she loves PEANU

About Cody's Friends Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. Upon request, they are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $200 to $250 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $300 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.
** Please note that I do not usually adopt out my dogs with children under four years of age.
