Here's what the humans have to say about me:
People are the love of Rico's life. He thinks humans are the coolest, especially the ones who throw the ball for him and understand the value of a good game of Fetch. Rico really longs for a home because he used to have one before his owner had to surrender him for personal reasons that had nothing to do with Rico. Since he's been with us, Rico has blossomed into this silly, fun, playful boy. He knows sit and wait and stay, and he hopes you'll teach him other cool stuff. He likes treats, but he'd really prefer some quality play time with you. Rico would do best with someone who is active and who has a little dog experience and can work with him and teach him. He's a total charmer and you will not find a more loyal, loving, trusting dog. Rico would do best as an only dog. He likes children but may be a little to exuberant for the little ones. So, older children would be best.
Rico needs a hero because he does not like other dogs and looks so shy and scared in his kennel. When you get him out he is actually very outgoing. E-mail Laura at lmckelvey@pawsatlanta.org if you have any questions!
