Mellie's Story...
Hello world! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Mellie! I was brought to this awful scary place and almost placed on something called "The List" . I'm not sure exactly what it is bc my foster mommy says I'm now allowed to ask questions about it, but I think it was really bad. I must have used one of my lucky lives that day bc this superhero from St. Francis swooped in and saved me! She brought me to my foster mommy' s house and I've been here learning all about being a kitten and how nice people can be. I've also been welcomed by some foster siblings and I'm thinking it would be nice to be adopted with one of them. Fritz is my best buddy, he's looking for a home too. I know my furrever home is out there, it's just missing little ol me! Can't wait to meet my special peoplez!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mellie, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
