Whisper's Story...
Whisper is a precious young man born in October 2014. He has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. He was quite thin when he arrived and has been happily eating up a storm. Whisper has been dewormed and uses a litterbox faithfully. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
He will need an understanding home to help him with the transition as Whisper will likely be nervous in a new environment. Feral when arrived, has adjusted nicely. Treat motivated.
Rubs on legs, goes in laps of trusted person to get treats and petting, does not like to be picked up, will come and lay across lap if you are sitting.. likes to sleep in bed. Whisper gets along fine with other felines and doesn't have a problem with the dogs in his foster home.. kids interact 7 and up if calm, He wants to play with other cats. Active, friendly if he deems you are safe. Affectionate on his terms, quiet, likes to play w/ water bowl if you put an ice cube in it. Of note, Whisper's eyes water when he eats leaving him with chronically stained fur on his face. Whisper is available for adoption for $50.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whisper, a New Prague American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in New Prague, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in New Prague.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Prague already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Prague breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Prague paves the way for another one to be saved.
