I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Hi! My name is Ben and I am an 8 yr. old Puggle. I was out loitering, or jaywalking or looking for love in all the wrong places...anyway, I was picked up by Tony, the dog warden as a stray and no one claimed me! So they brought me here and they are telling me that they will find me the love I deserve! I am neutered, Up to Date on shots, heartworm negative, love to walk on a leash and completely housebroken..Won't you come and 'bail' me out?!? I qualify for the Senior for Seniors program here at Barely Used Pets...ask them about it when you talk with them!
Barely Used Pets is not your typical "Shelter" or "Rescue". Our Environment offers a free roaming society where the dogs are not kenneled all day but are able to socialize and run freely within a confined, fenced area. Our residents are able to roam inside and outside as weather permits. All of our dogs are socialized and assessed on a daily basis. This environment aids in the transition from Shelter to Home when the dog(s) are adopted. Each dog is kenneled at night with a group of matched dogs, each kennel has a dog house cots and toys. When a potential adopter visits he/she can she how each dog interacts with other dogs both larger and smaller as well as how a dog responds to meeting new people. Please come and visit our Facility to see for yourself the difference it makes!

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
