Skipper's Story...
Hello World,

My name is Skipper (although my foster family also calls me Kipper) and I’m an adorable bichon pup about four months old. Mom says I am sweet, playful and very smart (She says that is a wonderful combination) - an easy boy to have around as I get along with just about anyone and everyone. She says I’m equally good with kids and adults and hold my own in the pack of dogs at my foster home.

Mom says I’m curious, active and love to play -- or I can be quite content just sitting in your lap and being stroked. I enjoy my foster home and yard – and just LOVE to go outside with my doggy foster brothers! I am housebroken (Mom says I follow the other dogs everywhere and learned what to do very quickly… and that I want to please.)

I’m a really happy little guy, a well behaved and cute. Mom says I'm really big on CUTE (she seems to like me a lot, don’t you think?) As you can see from my picture, she’s right! The most important thing for you to know is that I need company. My perfect home will have people around most of the time to help me learn how to be when I grow up. Having a family I can love and adore is what I want most in the world!

If I sound like the kind of guy for you, please complete an application at and ask for Skipper, 'cause I'll be waiting to hear from you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skipper, a La Costa Bichon Frise puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Bichon Frise puppy from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
