Breed: Pit Bull Terrier
Estimated Date of Birth: November 2, 2014
Location: Kennesaw, GA
Pixie was shot in the face. Her owner tried to close the wound with a hot knife, but he did not have funds to treat her. He ended up signing Pixie over to a veterinary office. That vet clinic did nothing for poor Pixie except turn her in to Animal Control. Cobb County Animal Control called us and we could leave Pixie at the pound, in pain, with a bullet in her face. Our vet was easily able to remove the bullet that was lodged in her cheek. They had to remove a few shattered teeth and some bone fragments from her broken jaw as well.
Despite the horrific chain of events, Pixie is the sweetest, most cuddly girl! Pixie has recovered and is fully vetted. She is very confident and her favorite activity by far is snuggling. She adores ALL people. She would love a family that enjoys snuggling and would do best as the only dog in the home. She does live in foster care with other dogs, but requires firm, experienced leadership in the company of other canines. Pixie is extremely obedient and is happy to do anything you ask of her. She is crate-trained, housebroken, and in need of a loving family to shower her with all the affection she deserves.
