My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Rubin is a friendly 4 month old shepherd mix puppy. He loves to play with his siblings and would do great in a home with children where he can run off his energy. He is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via PETS transport services upon adoption. His adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.

Second Chances lists dogs as being available in Kittery, ME because we transport our dogs to Kittery every other week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
