Jack Webster's Story...
I'm Really Kind of Sweet!
Jack was born about December 22, 2004 or in 2008....and he weighs about 10 lbs. So, he was picked up stray and his owner was located by his rabies tag, but they had no interest in bailing him out from dog control so we did. This poor little old man needed a safe place to fall! OK, the age thing, well the owner told the town that he was 7, but the vet that boosted his rabies shot for us feels he is about 11 so his birthday will be up to you! He is really sweet and loves to snuggle in your lap. He is just wonderful with the other dogs here, but struggled when he went to another home, particularly with a Beagle as there was some food aggression. He seldom says a peep which we just love, but maybe he can't hear well, we've not been able to determine that, but it is obvious that his eyes have some old age cloudiness so his eyesight isn't what it used to be. He doesn't care, he gets around just fine. He is good on leash and ok in a crate, but not sure why you would need one. We are so glad he is here with us and we know we are going to find him an excellent home for the rest of his life where someone will love him and never let him wander freely. Jack did well on our cat test, but the other home said he didn't like their cat - sometimes confusing. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $100.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
