Ariel's Story...
BE PREPARED TO FALL IN LOVE WITH ARIEL!

This sweet coonhound has had nothing but a hard life....and it showed. When one of our favorite volunteers reached out to us asking if we could take her because it was her last day and no one was interested we knew this was a dog that needed us!

She gave her best to her owners and there is no doubt that she got little in return. There are scars on her face and callouses on her body and she was loaded with worms. BUT...in spite of her hard life she was sweet and grateful. She's smart as a whip and is being fostered by a family that spends lots of time socializing and training our rescues. Good with other dogs, and learning as fast as she's taught, good social skills and happy go lucky.....our girl is definitely special.

Thought to be around 4 years old she was rescued from a very high kill shelter in NC and taken for full vetting. She's been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, brought current on all vaccines and even had teeth cleaning. She weighs around 40-45lbs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ariel, a Mount Holly Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Mount Holly, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Mount Holly.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Holly already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Holly breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Holly paves the way for another one to be saved.
