found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
No longer useful as a hunting dog, Sam found himself in a very high kill shelter and he was so scared he would not come out of a tube that was located in his run. He would shake and tuck himself as far into the tube as he could get and there was no getting him out for anyone to consider adopting him. His fearful action was going to be his downfall as the shelter felt they would have no choice but to consider euthanizing. No one would want him in that condition! When we saw his video we recognized that it was going to take a dedicated rescue to consider such a fearful dog.....and we were certain it was just a matter of his surroundings and not the nature of this dog. Within 24 hours of being rescued his true INCREDIBLE COONHOUND PERSONALITY SURFACED and we are not disappointed.
Sam is in a foster home in PA now and has responded very well to being removed from the scary shelter environment. He is fully vetted, neutered and brought current on all vaccines. Sam is looking for a forever home that will love him for himself....not because he can hunt. He's thought to be around 5-7 years old, he's learning to play in place of hunt and finding that it's a whole lot more fun!
