My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Matilda was fostered and adopted right out of the shelter at 3 months of age. She has been in a loving home for 5-6 months but the owners work schedules have changed and they no longer have the time to give her proper exercise. They have also realized she prefers to play with dogs her own size, even though you can see she likes napping with the little ones just fine.

Age: 8 months old as of May 1, 2016
Weight: 62 lbs.
Mix/Purebred: Mix
House Traine: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Heartworm Negative or Positive: Negative & current on prevention
Current on Heartworm Prevention? Yes
Spayed or Neutered? Spayed
Are they Microchipped? Yes
Good with other dogs: Playful with other dogs her size
Good with cats? Assessing
Good with Children? Good with all people

She is now eight months old, spayed and current on all her vaccinations. Matilda is house and crate trained, so she is easy to get along with in the home. Matilda was the star pupil in her training classes and is always ready and eager to learn a new command. She can run several miles with a human on a leash or is content with long walks. Matilda is an active dog and requires daily walking, running, or going to the dog parks. She sits on command and patiently waits to be served her food and water.

Matilda has a strong prey drive, so she would prefer no cats or small animals in her household but currently lives with a chihuahua she grew up with and has no trouble with him. Matilda can hear anyone walk or drive up to the driveway and barks to let you know someone has arrived. Matilda is a loyal and loving family dog looking now for a better matched family.

Please consider giving this sweet young girl a new start.
