Kat (Katrina)'s Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Katrina is a very soft and cuddly girl, she is a great walking dog and wants your attention very bad, she is a true lover and snuggler, Katrina was found wandering the roads, and ran to the truck when we found her, she was very hungry and full of fleas and soars, she now is a beautiful girl with the best manners. She tries to get your attention with her toy, and loves to get belly rubs. Katrina wants a home that will love and keep her warm FOREVER. Please read about Mountain Cur breed, they are highly intelligent, and are very dedicated to the family. Please come into the shelter and meet Kat (Katrina), she will steal your heart and run with it. Kat was heart-worm positive when she came into the shelter, since then she has been treated and is NOW HEART-WORM NEGATIVE and is ready for a FOREVER HOME. She smiles at you if you ask her for the smile, she has not a mean bone in her only love, and dedication. SHE MUST STAY ON HEART-WORM PREVENTATIVE....if you don't know about heart-worms, read up on the disease and learn what it is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kat (Katrina), a Sparta Mountain Cur/Australian Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur/Australian Terrier for sale in Sparta, or seeking a Mountain Cur/Australian Terrier dog from a breeder in Sparta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sparta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sparta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur/Australian Terrier breeders who help with Mountain Cur/Australian Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sparta paves the way for another one to be saved.
