King's Story...
Hi! My name is King, I am a 6 year old German Shepherd/Lab mix and weigh 75 pounds. I am a gentle giant and love everyone I meet and they love me too! They say I am a charmer but I just say I'm friendly. I know commands like sit, shake and down. I also love to be with my human. Sometimes I am afraid of dogs that are bigger than me. I would like a family that can spend a lot of time with me. I really love people and being outside. Cats and squirrels are fun to chase so I will need to be watched around my feline brothers and sisters. I would like a fenced yard to keep me safe too!

I have been neutered, am up to date on vaccinations and rabies, dewormed, heartworm negative and am current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. My adoption fee is $200.00. Go to furgetmenotrescue.org to fill out an adoption application to see if you and I are a match made in doggy heaven!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King, a Canton German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Canton, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Canton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Canton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Canton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Canton paves the way for another one to be saved.
