My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

cute 2 1/2 or 3 year old Lab mix and is spayed and up-to-date on her vet care. She is on the small size for a Lab and is a bit chubby. She likes toys but mostly enjoys giving them back to you when you throw them. She seems interested but also very excited around other dogs. She hasn't lived with cats and we were told she might not get along with them. Bessie has never lived in a home with kids but would probably be fine with kids ages 10 and up. This past weekend she attended a youth baseball game with one of our volunteers and enjoyed meeting all the kids.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
