My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winnie is an adorable dachshund mix. She is 2 years old and weighs 16 lbs. The way she looks at you melts your heart. Winnie is looking for a home that is filled with love. She does the funniest things that just make you belly laugh. She loves to run and play with the other dogs but would love to have a full time lap to sit in. Winnie is smart, loyal, happy and ready to share her life with you!

If you are interested in giving Winnie wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you. Feel free to call Beverly with questions about the dogs at 901-651-6322.

Winnie's adoption donation is $550 which helps to cover the spaying, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), flea/tick prevention, heart worm prevention, vet examination, certificate of health and includes transportation.
Winnie has had a recent heart worm test and is heart worm negative.

Winnie was rescue from a shelter in Tennessee. She lives with a foster family in Tennessee and will travel to her new family by professional pet transport once she has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to Chicago / Milwaukee / Minneapolis areas.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
