MORE INFO ABOUT ME:
So, here I am!! Yes, yes I know I look like a little German Shepherd! I'm told that allll the time. And who really knows?? The girls here are saying that it is quite possible that one of my parents could have been a German Shepherd and the other a dachshund...I know, scary right?? In any case I'm only 16 lbs and most of that is pure muscle. A little of my backstory,,,,I was orginally rescued by a great family from a horrible situation (I was living with bad men who where selling drugs from their home). My new family was awesome but just recently my Mom got really, really sick and couldn't provide for me any longer. She loved me so much that she reached out to the rescue for help in finding me the perfect new family. Right now I am being fostered with 2 other dogs, 2 cats and 2 teenage girls and I am loving it!! I also lived with small children in my previous home and love them as well. I have not found a human that I don't like (except the bad, bad men in the beginning :~(). You may think that with my doxi-like legs that I can't jump too high? Well, you'd be wrong!! Hahaha I have already proven that I can jump the baby gate here at my foster home! And if you let me, I will jump right into your arms from a standing position. My potty habits are still a work in progress but I've been doing better since I was neutered (ouch!!). Let it be known that if you have lots of company or little ones that are "in and out" all the time you will need to take heed as I will try to run out the door in anticipation of what I may find out there. I am crate trained but am not a fan of going in. However, after about 5 minutes of whining and barking I settle in just fine. Speaking of barking habits,,,,I am not the barky type but will let you know if I hear a strange noise or if my foster doggie siblings bark I am happy to join in but I am not a yapper. I enjoy a nice car ride and love checking out the scenery. I do ok on a leash but an Easy Walk harness works much better for me as I don't have the opportunity to pull as much. I am beyond that "chewing stage" so your personal items are safe with me. Now for my most endearing qualities; I LOVE to snuggle and cuddle with you humans!!! And even cuter is how I will burrow under the blankets!! That must be the doxi in me, huh? Foster Mom thinks it adorable when I burrow under the covers and then peek my head out to make sure I have her attention!! So, if your family is seeking an all around good boy then you can end your search now!! Hurry and fill out that application because with all my good qualities I won't be around long!! Love, max xoxoxo
