Bronx's Story...
Hi there! My name is Bronx, what's yours?? I was recently surrendered to the shelter by my owner, who was unable to care for me anymore. I really miss them, but hopefully I find someone who will love me as much as they did. I'm around 2 years old and am a boxer mix. I'm housetrained and ride well in the car. I would do well in a home with other dogs and kids. My one downfall is that I have separation anxiety. I really HATE being left alone. I just miss my people too much. I need a new family who will be home with me pretty much all the time.

Prior to being adopted I will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered and will have a microchip. All I need now is someone like YOU to take me home and love me! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bronx, a Youngwood Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
