found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Laika was rescued from a shelter in Palmdale, CA in 2003 and adopted to a loving home in early 2004. Sadly a layoff has forced her family to move in with realatives who have a strict "no dogs" rule. Much as it breaks their hearts, Laika's family has no choice but to find her a wonderful new home.
Laika is a mixed breed, but has a lot of Jindo mannerisms. She is eager to protect her home and family and is reserved with strangers. She is fine with kids who have been taught how to properly behave around dogs, but can get very hyper when they get overexcited. A family with no kids (or older kids/teens) might be better suited for her.
Laika is fine with cats she has been properly introduced to. She is also good with other dogs, however like most Jindos she prefers dogs with "manners" and proper canine communication skills.
Laika is not a golden retriever or a lab, and is very independent like a cat. Like most Jindos she is not able to be trusted off leash. She is fine being left alone all day while you're at work, and is crate trained. She has been to obedience training, knows basic obedience commands, and loves to go for long hikes with her family.
Laika's owners absolutely adore her, and are eager to find her a loving home. If you are interested in adopting Laika or would like more informations about her please fill out an adoption application at http://www.jindorescue.org/adoptform.html
