My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Onxy! I am a year and a half old and weigh approximately 55 pounds. I have been to the vet, I am neutered and heart worm negative. When I first came into the rescue I had some behavior issues, but I have had some help from a very kind man. My foster mom and I have worked very hard for me to be my best. I have come a long way in the last 6 months. I still need reminding sometimes, but overall I have become a happy and obedient dog. I am active but not to the point of "crazy" unless the kiddie pool is out! Or there is a pile of leaves needing to be spread or you want to get my ball. I can run like the wind. My foster mom thinks I would be a great agility dog and I love to look for things. I stay on my property as long as someone is with me and I love walks and car rides. I have a couple of dog friends that I play well with. I have a hard time sharing my food dish. I prefer my food to have Salmon in it, as the other stuff makes my tummy hurt. I live with my foster moms cat. I want to play but sometimes she gets grumpy and runs and of course I have to chase her! This usually leaves me in my crate for a time out which I do not like but it's worth the fun of the chase. I stay in my crate at night or when my foster mom is away. Sometimes I am vocal if I am in time out or doing my job as protector of the home, but usually I lay there. My blanket is my favorite thing! I drag my blanket everywhere and shake it silly or sometimes chew holes in it. It is not a good idea for me to have anything with stuffing cause I will de-stuff it. I do not like to be away from people, not even a few feet away. I like to be right beside you, no matter how much I have to squeeze myself into a space. I go outside for all my business and now make a fuss to go out. My foster mom lets me out the door and watches until I am done and I come back. Apparently, I have a high prey drive and will chase squirrels and cats. I do respond well to a human whistling. I also will chase little kids so, my new home should not have any. I get upset when they run around, or touch my things including my foster mom (I get jealous, even of the cat too). I know I may have some quarks about me! But my foster mom thanks that I am ready to find my furever home with that special family that will be willing and prepared to love me and keep working with me for all my life.

I am, up to date on my vaccines..

My adoption fee is $350.00
