Are you searching for a little 10-pound go-getter that will keep you active? Prince is the resident eager beaver at Home Fur Good. This three-year-old Chihuahua mix loves to go on adventures. Prince is a Rockstar on a leash, he will truck along beside you or in front of you and he is a good listener to instruction. He has been out of the shelter for walks in the park, and Prince does well being greeted by strangers, however, children seem to make him nervous. Prince may do best in a home of adults or older children. Prince is getting anxious to find his forever home. He is not the biggest fan of the shelter routine. His mind likes to be kept active, he enjoys a good challenge and spending many hours in a kennel is not the challenge he craves. Prince will enjoy playing games and entertaining you. He loves to do the doggie 500 and bound around like a baby kangaroo. After you have exercised his body and mind, Prince can cozy up with you and enjoy a relaxing nap. Prince does have doggie friends at the shelter, but he can be selective about who he befriends. He will need to meet any potential dog siblings, to make sure they will become lifelong buddies. If you adopt this little hustler, Home Fur Good promises that Prince will bring smiles and laughter into your home. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, a free wellness visit with our vet, and 30 days of free pet health insurance. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip.

Our Adoption Process...
Home Fur Good requires an approved application. We have trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$275 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and come with 30 days of pet health insurance. If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.
