My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Buddy!

I’m a happy,10 month old bundle of fun!!! I love everybody and everything! I had an old hip injury and we are not sure how it happened but I had to have surgery to remove part of my hip joint. I am recovering and doing well after my surgery and should be almost as good as new soon. My surgery was an FHO.

My favorite thing to do is play. I love playing with dogs and people and toys and anything that moves. Tug-of-war and running are two of my favorite things to do.

I also love to give awesome puppy kisses and cuddle when I’m tired but I’m not tired too often. You see, I have lots of puppy energy!!!

My previous owner has an older dog and thought their dog would like a companion so they got me! Well, their other dog didn’t agree and was always picking on me and hurting me. So, they reluctantly asked DogWorks to find me a new family. They loved me and took really good care of me. They even took me to puppy obedience school so I know some tricks like sit and lay down. My foster mommy says that I’m a really good puppy.

My foster mommy wants me to tell you about my faults too. In my opinion, I don’t have any faults but she’s insisting I tell you that I like to chew. I almost always chew my toys and I have never chewed anything that I shouldn’t unless my foster brother or sister leaves something laying on the floor. In my opinion if it’s on the floor then it’s there for me to chew, right? My foster mommy doesn’t think so but says I do that because I’m a puppy.

Now for the boring stuff: I’m a 65 pound black lab/border collie mix. I’m up-to-date on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative, house trained, crate trained and neutered. The vet said I’m a perfectly healthy puppy!!!

So, if you're looking for a friendly, energetic puppy and you think I would make a good addition to your family please let the people at Dogworks know by going to http://www.dogworksohio.com/ and filling out an application. There's no cost and no obligation to fill out an application. However, there is a small adoption fee of $165 to help cover the cost of my vaccinations, etc.
