My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Miss. Widget is 4 years old and came into Dream when a good Samaritan witnessed her being thrown from a car . They contacted Dream and the rest is history. She has recently been spayed and had some tumors removed from her stomach area. No more uncomfortable growths for this little girl. Widget is a delight. She is housetrained, crate trained, gets along great with every person she meets and every dog she comes across. She loves belly rubs and being in someone's lap. If you are looking for a wonderful companion to give you kisses and love for all the days long, then look no more Widget is your girl.

If you are interested in adopting Widget, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Widget 's adoption fee is $350. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Widget will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
