Senior Bambi is Thriving in Her Foster Home! This 9 year old girl was dumped at the shelter to be euthanized by the only family that she ever knew. She is almost completely blind but this doesn’t slow her down. This little love bug enjoys playing with all of the other doggies in her foster home, is a complete mushball with everyone she meets and an all around rockstar.

She requires insulin 2x per day, which is very easy to manage. Whoever opens their heart to her will be one very lucky person. She can even live with kitties smile emoticon

Big Shout out to Wagaware who generously donated to Road to Home on behalf of Bambi and our other seniors in need!!

About Road to Home Rescue Support - Long Island, NY

About Our Rescue Group...

Road to Home was started to be able to focus on animals in need and to provide support to local rescues. After years of working in shelters and with rescues, we decided starting our own rescue was the best way to do what we do best! We are a 100 percent non-profit and 100 percent of the money we raise goes towards animals in need. Our 5013c is pending. Here’s what we will focus on:

-Providing guidance and support for re-homing an animal.
-Providing medical attention, training, spay/neuter, and food/supplies to a homeless animal.
-Pulling an animal from a euthanasia list or from an unsafe situation and placing them in a foster or permanent home.
-Working with rescues and shelters to facilitate adoptions by doing home checks, adoption applications, and networking to find foster or permanent homes for animals in need.
-Working with rescues and shelters to coordinate adoption events, food drives, and fundraisers.
-Raising money through a Chip-In to help specific dogs with training, medical needs, and adoption.
-Raising funds that can be allocated to specific needs of other rescues and shelters (including medical expenses, training expenses, food, and transport) as well as pledging money to animals in jeopardy of euthanasia.
