Oscar is the sweetest cat. He loves to play, but he also loves to cuddle up for some love. He is very loving and very mellow. He is the perfect cat for anyone.
Oscar is FIV+, which means that he has the feline form of HIV. However, this does not mean much more than he has a weaker immune system than other cats. Therefore, Oscar can still live a long, happy, normal life in which FIV causes little effect. FIV can only be transmitted to other cats through deep bites and NOT through casual contact of sharing the litter box, playing, licking, and other normal cat behaviors. FIV can not be transmitted to other animals or humans.
FIV should not be something to worry about, or something that effects your decision about adoption. Oscar needs lots of love in a forever home, just like all other animals :) Oscar is a normal, loving cat that just happens to be living with a disease, and has been an absolute pleasure to foster. He really is in some ways better than normal cats!
