Pepper's Story...
My name is Pepper. I am a tall, dark, and handsome gentleman who likes short walks, cuddles, and chewing on squeaky toys. I'm really easy going and love being around humans. I don't mind other dogs as long as they don't bother me too much, another elderly dog would probably be a good match but I'm just as happy being an only dog. I am looking for a home where I can keep someone company and get some pets (and treats!). I can't walk really far because my back hip bothers me but I do love going for short walks and playing a couple rounds of fetch. I stay really close when I'm outside and listen when called. I also walk well on a leash. If you are looking for your new best buddy who is easy to love and easy to care for I might be your man!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Tempe Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Tempe, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Tempe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tempe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tempe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tempe paves the way for another one to be saved.
