Facts about Mojito

  • Breed: Ringneck
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Unknown
  • Sex: Female
Mojito is 9 years old, and back with us for her next good home. She is highly social and likes to be part of family activity. If safety is possible, she enjoys and greatly benefits from the opportunity to fly. She loves baths and water, and is willing to try all kinds of healthy food. She knows how to use that smart bird brain, and learned quite a few tricks in her first Phoenix Landing home as well, to include targeting and foraging. But please remember that with highly social birds you should ignore any demanding sounds!

About Phoenix Landing Foundation Wilmington NC

About Our Rescue Group...

The Phoenix Landing Foundation (PL) is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. PL promotes and protects the welfare of parrots, especially those with an extensive lifespan. We provide for parrots of all types in need, and act as advocates for those without protection. Visit our website at http://www.phoenixlanding.org for more information. We also sponsor great educational seminars! All are welcome (please do not bring your birds or other pets). Most of PL's classes are free, although of course we always welcome donations.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Most of our birds are being fostered in private homes in the MD, VA, NC, SC, and DC area.
Sometimes, we have foster families bring their birds to these events for prospective adopters to meet them.

Our Adoption Process...

We require:
- An Adoption Application
- A brief in-Home Visit with you and your family (for birds larger than a cockatiel)
- Attendance at an Intro class (recommended for all, required for birds larger than a cockatiel). For large birds (macaws, cockatoos, amazons, greys, eclectus, etc.) we also require an Advanced class.
- An Adoption Fee (for birds larger than a cockatiel) -- adoption fees vary, larger birds have higher fees
