My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny is an 5-6 y/o male who suddenly found himself at a local shelter in need of a new place to live. His owner gave no reason for turning him in and HBHR can find nothing bad to say about this wonderful boy. Benny is a standard 15 inches tall and weighs around 28 pounds.

Benny is fully housebroken. He was crate trained in his previous life, but has the run of his foster home without any problems. That is one of the great things about adopting a middle aged beagle. They have such good house manners!

Benny quickly started playing with the small dogs in his foster home. Even tolerates cats after a proper introduction! He is not possessive of his space or treasures. He loves taking walks to the park near by and enjoys a good roll in smelly prizes that he finds! It is a good thing he has a soft short coat that is easy to clean.

Benny enjoys being around people and will lean up against your leg in hopes that a stray pet will come his way. He really gets excited when his foster Dad gets home from work, but enjoys the attention from the older kids in the house. Benny will make a wonderful companion for any family. Please give this boy a second chance!
