Hi, Everyone! My name is Oreo, just like the cookie! I am an adorable cockatiel, about 6 years old. My previous family just didn't feel like they had enough time to spend with me, so they asked the wonderful folks at Florida Parrot Rescue to see if they could find me a home with a family that would give me plenty of love and attention.
I love to chatter and whistle to you so that I can get your attention. Once I have it, I like you to give me cuddles and head scratches. I get really scared when you put your hand in my cage but once I'm out of my cage, I will step up without any fuss. I will gladly sit on your shoulder alllllllllllll day long so you can give me head scritches. I just love love love love head scritches!
I am on a healthy diet of Zupreem pellets. My foster mom keeps giving me this stuff she calls "chop" and I'm actually starting to like it! My favorite fresh food so far, though, are bananas! Yum Yum, I love bananas! I love bananas almost as much as head scritches! Maybe more!
I'm a social birdie and I like meeting new people. I would especially like to meet the new people who are going to take me home and make part of their family forever! Could that be you? An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird's cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
