Foxy (Declawed & Spayed)'s Story...
"Foxy" is a beautiful 5-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on May 10, 2016 (along with her housemate Patches) because a family member was allergic to her. "Foxy" has a brown tabby short smooth coat with orange highlights, a long tail, and a pretty face with a white milk mustache and large emerald green eyes. "Foxy" was a very frightened girl when we stopped by to take her petfinder/facebook photos, so she wasn't quite ready to pose for glamour photos. We took a few preliminary picture which show her lovely green eyes while she was resting on her elevated bed:) We will take more flattering photos another day but wanted to let potential adopters know that "Foxy" is in our shelter and needs another home. Her previous owner told us that Foxy was good with children, other cats, and also with dogs. She doesn't like vacuum cleaners (what cat or dog does?) :( "Foxy" has been spayed, and she has also been front-declawed. She was given vaccinations and wormer on May 10, 2016. These updated photos were taken on May 11, 2016. "Foxy" was combo tested on July 12, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy (Declawed & Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
