Destin's Story...
This is Destin. He is a calm, happy guy who loves to lay in your arms as long as you will hold him! He's about 45 lbs. and an incredibly laid back boy who is content just chewing his bone. He's incredibly smart and he's already crate-trained and house-trained and knows some basic commands. Destin loves dogs and people of all sizes - he's absolutely great with children!

A $175 adoption donation is required, which includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations for the age of the pup, and 1st month's flea/tick preventative. Please complete an adoption application at www.sarocks.org, or email adopt@sarocks.org if you would like to make this dog part of your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Destin, a San Antonio Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
