My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Frank is a 6 yr old Old English /American Bull dog mix. He came from a horrible existence and it was pure luck that we were standing at the counter at our vets office when his previous owner came in to have Frank put to sleep. The reason he was putting Frank to sleep was because of his own neglect towards Frank. He had a horrible skin condition that went years without treatment, and he had Heartworm that went years without treatment. Luckily with the right medications and lots of TLC, Frank is a healthy, happy and BIG guy. His heart worms are gone and 99% of his fur has come back. He has permanent scars on his head and face.  But DON'T let that stop you from letting him become your next family member.
Frank has another sad story to tell though. He was adopted to a wonderful veteran that loved Frank with all his heart and soul. Frank was a good therapy dog for his adopted daddy's PTSD. Unfortunately, even though his adopted daddy is retired from the military, his job is still going to be sending him over seas and he didn't feel it was fair for Frank to be in boarding or in the hands of pet sitters so with tears in his eyes and a very heavy heart, his adoptive daddy asked us to take him back and find another home. One that will love and cherish him as much as he did.

Frank is great with other dogs of all sizes. We do not know about cats. He loves kids but because of his size and at times, his excitement, we suggest he go to a family with kids over the age of 5.
Frank is house trained, sleeps in a crate or on his oversized bed (included in adoption). He loves to go for walks with his leash and harness(Included in adoption). Car rides make Frank nervous even though he is well behaved in a car. There are just not enough good things to say about this big old boy except that he is so deserving of a good loving home.

His adoption fee is $200. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group,  so all funds go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups.
