Lil' Bit's Story...
"Hi, my name is Lil' Bit because I'm just a cute little 11 week old Chihuahua mix puppy that's a lil' bit of this and a lil' bit of that. Mostly I'm a lil' bit of a pig because, despite my small size, I love to eat. Fortunately, I also love to stay active so I'm only about 4 pounds considering all the playful exercise I get. I don't have the potty training down yet but I'm working on it. I love people, dogs, toys, sunshine, rain, green grass...you name it...I love it! Even though I've only had a short past, I had a very scary thing happen to me recently. In a nutshell, someone tossed my out of a moving vehicle and then sped up and drove quickly away. I was there all alone and scared in the middle of the road and I didn't know what to do. How did I deserve such a fate? What did I do to make them mad at me? Fortunately, a nice lady saw the whole thing happen and she picked me up, petted me and gave me kisses. She then took me to the local shelter where Lap Dog Rescue heard about me and immediately came to get me. They placed me in my current foster home, where I've been having a blast with a bunch of other foster dogs that I play with all day long. In spite of how much I like to play, I'm pretty mellow when I'm by myself. My sincere hope is to find a forever home with someone who I can cuddle with, love me, and show me what it's like to grow up in a loving home. If you would like to make me part of your family, please complete an online application at www.lapdogrescue.org and be sure to include my name, Lil' Bit, at the top. Please note my adoption fee is $225 a

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil' Bit, a Tijeras Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
