Here's what the humans have to say about me:
July 2016 update: What a great boy this is! He is listed as an Akita mix but we don't really know what breed mix(es) he might be! He is an awesome guy who gets along with other dogs and is good with kids - he used to live with a 6 year old and loved her. He was rescued last year then adopted locally; the owner then tried to sell him on Facebook so our rescue partners took him back into their care. There are no strangers in Yoshi’s world because everyone is his friend. He is estimated by a vet to be 3-4 years old; he weighs around 50lbs. He is housebroken and crate trained. He loves to go for walks or ride in the car. He is in great shape and was treated for heartworm and is cleared for full activity and to find his forever home!
Yoshi has come to many activities with us and is a perfect ambassador! He will charm the crowd accepting belly rubs and giving kisses. Yoshi has been around one of our very young volunteers and is so gentle and sweet!
When meeting some little dogs he does okay if they are calmer, but puppies or little dogs that are up in his face right away make him nervous. When meeting a small dog who isn't too bonkers, Yoshi greets them politely and goes on his merry way.
Be advised that Yoshi can jump a 4 foot baby gate or fence easily. We had a cat test done with Yoshi and he did not do well - too overexcited and it is felt he would not be safe with feline friends. Human and canine, for sure!

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
