Facts about CLAYTON

  • Breed: Beagle Mix
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
As you can see, Clayton is a Beach Pup-He loves it and truly enjoys the freedom of running on the beach, chasing sea birds in the air and just feeling the salt air on his face! What a sweet boy he is and a lucky one at that. GREAT Rescue, a Golden Retriever Rescue saw Clayton's picture in a shelter with a broken back leg and the rescue who was to take him, failed to come so GREAT decided this boy needed immediate help. Although probably a smaller beagle mix, he weighs 42 lbs, he has a Golden heart so he fit right into our Rescue family. After surgeries, a bone marrow transplant and heartworm treatment, Clayton is like a shiny new penny, happy, healthy and full of life. He would make the perfect lap dog because of his size and also sweet and calm personality. His foster says he gets along well with her dogs and his best friend is her cat!! Clayton is heartworm negative, neutered, current on all vaccinations, micro-chipped and happy as can be. He is housetrained but doesn't do really well in a crate so his forever family would be best if one family member was home much of the time, they have a fenced yard and another pet to be a companion for Clayton. This sweet boy will be available for adoption right now so if you are interested, please go to to complete an application or call 904-501-6899 for further info.
