THIS DOG IS AT A MUNICIPAL SHELTER AND WAS SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED AS EARLY AS TUESDAY, MAY 17. GSRSV HAS REQUESTED AND RECEIVED A TWO-DAY EXTENSION ON HER, I AM POSTING HER ON MY ADOPTAPET.COM PET LIST TO GIVE HER A BETTER CHANCE OF RESCUE.

"Bella', a beautiful, approx 2-yo spayed female GSD, is in desperate need of rescue at the Stanislaus County Animal Shelter. She was surrendered to the shelter by her owners (for reasons unknown), who described her as "a good family dog--energetic, likes kids." See Bella's short video elsewhere on this page.

In spite of her owner's glowing remarks about Bella's temperament, she did not pass the shelter's strict adoption behavior evaluation, so is listed as "rescue only." GSRSV would rescue this dog in a heartbeat, but I am currently unable to take in any more dogs at my rescue ranch. IN ORDER TO SAVE BELLA, I NEED SOMEBODY WILLING TO FOSTER HER!

Please--no bleeding hearts. If you offer to foster Bella, you need to be COMMITTED to keeping her for as long as it takes to find her a permanent home. If you have cats, you must be willing to keep your cats separate from Bella if she is aggressive towards cats--which is always a strong possibility with GSDs.
