Bronson's Story...
Bronson the gentle laid back giant is here and counting the hours until he can find his forever home. He's a big ol' lover boy who is part Lab and the other part unknown. We do know he has the great Lab disposition and the tell tell sign of hound the minute you hear him bark or should we say Bay. He's approx. 60 pounds and has a short black hair coat with a touch of tan. He's good with other dogs, is housebroken, is great on a leash and loves to be loved. Come and meet Bronson and see for yourself why we call him the greatest guy around.

For more information or to see Bronson, submit an online dog adoption application at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/online/. After reviewing the application, staff will contact you—typically within 48 hours— to make an appointment to visit the farm where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bronson, a Fairfax Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
