My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Priya is a very special girl. We pulled her from a high kill shelter where she was surrendered by her family along with her newborn puppies. We don't know why they surrendered her but they did tell the aco that she didn't have a name....her family had never bothered to name her. When we pulled her we immediately named her Priya which means "beloved". She was now a named dog who mattered! As you can imagine she was a bit broken down emotionally and was quite confused. When her foster mom would check on her and the pups Priya would hide. This wonderful girl has since broken out of her shell and is quite happy! She is a bit timid when she meets new people but quickly warms up. Priya loves other dogs and would definitely benefit from having another dog in the home. She acts like a puppy when playing and loves to snuggle up with her foster mom. Priya is currently 2 years old and weighs 17 pounds.
