Are you my new mom? Are you my new dad? I sure hope so! I'm enjoying my foster mom and my "sisters" here in Austin, but I hear that I can't stay, and I'm anxious to find out what's next for my life. I just know there's a new home for me, and I can't wait to find out who my new family will be! They tell me I'm very smart. I learned "sit", "come" and "kennel" from my foster mom. I want to learn more because I love to make my people happy, but my foster mom doesn't have time to teach me because she has other dogs and children to take care of. I do fine with being crated when Mom is gone. They tell me I'm at least part American Leopard Hound, so I tell people that's where I got my smarts! I like other dogs, but I like people best! If you let me, I'll be a lapdog and your best friend! I just love to snuggle! Did I tell you I like people best? I have to admit that I have a couple of bad habits. (Nobody's perfect.) I do like to go after cats; it's just too tempting. I also like to bolt through doors and gates to see what's outside. I would really do best in home without small children that might accidentally let me out the door. I do not get into things if I'm left loose in the house all day. I try hard to be a good girl! I am heartworm positive, but I understand that's easily treatable. It just takes time to get rid of those pests. Otherwise, I've very healthy and athletic, and would love to take on whatever you think is fun to do.
