Description: Zoey is a beautiful jet black color with a slight brown undercoat. She has been DNA tested and is an American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever/Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky Mix.
Personality: Zoey absolutely loves the attention of being petted. Her favorite spot is on the top of her head and neck. When you start to pet her, she immediately stops whatever she is doing and stays very still and leans into you to get loved. She has a moderate level of energy.
Zoey is quick to pick up on tricks! She has learned the basics including sit and even HIGH FIVE! Zoey is crate trained and will go in quickly for a treat. She is eager to please and very treat-motivated, which has made for quick training. Zoey would do best in a home with a dog her size or larger, and with an owner that has experience with large dogs. With proper introductions, Zoey enjoys the company of other dogs, but would also be happy to be your only girl, too.
Zoey is looking for her forever home where she can grow to be an old lady. Watch a video of her experiencing pure joy.
Animal History: Zoey spent the first few years of her life confined to an outdoor pen. Her owner was no longer able to properly care for her and she was rescued by IAR. She has adjusted to life indoors very well and is happy to be an inside dog!!
