Willow's Story...
Estimated DOB: 2/14/2016

Willow and her 5 siblings lost their mother when they were about 3 1/2 weeks old. Our rescue had been attempting to catch the family for several weeks. We were contacted after the mother was hit and killed by a car. We immediately sent people to the area to start searching for the orphaned puppies. They were finally found about 22 hours after their mom was killed.

Another dog in our rescue ("Cheerio") became their surrogate mom. She nursed them and treated them as if they were her own.

The puppies have been doing well and are now old enough to be placed into adoptive homes. They are very sweet and playful.

Their mom weighed 30 lbs. and was a mixed breed dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow, a Las Cruces Boxer/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Dachshund for sale in Las Cruces, or seeking a Boxer/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Las Cruces.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Cruces already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Cruces breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Dachshund breeders who help with Boxer/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Cruces paves the way for another one to be saved.
