Sage's Info...

Sage's Story...
Sage came to our shelter as a stray with her sister, Rowan. Her sister has been successfully adopted and now it is Sage's turn to find a forever family! She is a high energy young adult who needs a lot of structure and exercise. She is very smart and walks well on a leash. Her velvety ears and sweet soulful eyes will surely melt your heart. She would do best in a home with previous "bully breed" experience, and with no other dogs.
Pitbulls can make excellent pets! They are often great with children, and do well in a household. They aim to please and form strong lifelong bonds with their owners. As with most stray dogs, an acclimation time is needed as well as some basic training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage, a Toms River Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Toms River, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Toms River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toms River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toms River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toms River paves the way for another one to be saved.
