I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Beau is a handsome, friendly and affectionate medium sized maine coon mix and he's ready for his furever home.
Our rescue organization cared for inside and outside cats for several months that belonged to an elderly woman that fell ill and had to go to a nursing home. Most of the inside and outside cats were wild. About 10 feral cats were living in the house with 2 friendly cats and when it was determined that the elderly woman would not be coming home we humanely trapped and neutered/spayed the wild cats and found new, safe outside homes. I guess Beau was too shy or nervous to come out when we were caring for the cats in their original home.
Beau, originally thought to be wild, was assessed and he’s obviously a very tame cat that loves human attention and he wants a safe and loving inside only home. He’s now in a foster home where he was acclimated in a bathroom for two weeks because he seemed so shy. Now he is out and about in the house and doing very well. If you hold out your hand he’ll rise up on his back legs and bump his head into your hand for pets. He’ll jump into your lap and doesn’t use his claws. He loves exploring the house and he’ll sleep on the bed with you. If you are gentle and love him he’ll quickly learn to trust. He’s doing very well with the resident cats, they hiss at him and he does not hiss or threaten them at all. He loves a taste treat of some canned food and will come running and talk to you as soon as he hears the can open.
