Dog's Name:  Paige

Estimated Breed:  American Staffordshire

Approximate Age:  2yrs

Approximate Weight:  60lbs

Currently Living at:  Foster

Adoption Fee:  $300

Paige is a pint size ball of love! She smaller side but she is very strong. She LOVES playing with other pups. She could play all day long if you would let her. Paige's foster mom says she  is good in the car, but a bit afraid of it unless other dogs are with her. In general Paige is more confident with other dogs around her. She would really do great in a home with another dog her size or bigger and a family that will give her plenty of excersize as she has lots of energy. Paige's foster family has also been working with her on leash manners and will need a family to be able to set boundaries for her because she can be a bit stubborn. She maybe shy in her new home at first but once she warms up she has a very big personality and is very outgoing. She is a real character! And of course true to her breed she is one of the best snugglers you could ever ask for!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery, rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, monthly flea/tick prevention, and our transport costs.

Foster Program:   Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit or email our Foster Coordinator at

About K-9 Lifesavers

About Our Rescue Group...

K-9 Lifesavers is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that rescues homeless and abandoned dogs. We save canines that are scheduled for euthanasia from high kill shelters, where there are typically held only 3-7 days. K-9 Lifesavers also strives to educate the importance of responsible dog ownership, including spay/neuter, training, and pet nutrition.

K-9 Lifesavers relies primarily upon our dedicated foster families since we do not operate a shelter. These homes provide loving, temporary care until our rescues find their forever homes. We are always looking for foster families.

Please visit our website for additional information about K-9 Lifesavers. The website lists our available dogs, volunteer opportunities, foster information, and various ways to donate.

Please help us rescue more canines waiting for their second chance at life with a forever home! Please adopt a rescue, foster, volunteer, or donate!

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process is almost always completed within one week of time you submitted your application (times can vary depending on your location, the dog’s location, and availability).

· Fill out an adoption application (Completion of the Adoption Application does not guarantee adoption- it is the first step in our adoption process).

· An adoption counselor will call you to review your application.

· The adoption counselor will call your reference, landlord/condo association, and veterinarian (if applicable).

· The adoption counselor will set up a home visit (the entire household should be present for the visit).

· The adoption counselor will schedule a time for you, your family, and any other pets to meet the dog(s) you've applied for.

Once approved, you will need to finalize your adoption by completing an adoption contract and paying the adoption fee in cash or check. At that time, available medical records will be provided along with a variety of other information.

· Young Adult Dog (7 months to 8 years) - $300

· Puppy (6 months and younger) - $350

· Heartworm Positive Dog - $375 (This fee includes treatment for heartworm)-

· Golden Year Dogs (8 years and older) - $200
